For over forty years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio (RMHC) has been dedicated to keeping families close to their hospitalized children. Established through a partnership between volunteers and local McDonald’s owners/operators, RMHC has supported thousands of families during their most challenging times.

Having a child in the hospital is incredibly overwhelming for parents and siblings. The Ronald McDonald House offers these families a bit of stability amidst unthinkable circumstances. The comfort of having family nearby during hospitalization is invaluable, and this heartfelt mission drives and defines RMHC of Central Ohio.

Open 365 days a year, the Columbus Ronald McDonald House features comfortable bedrooms with private baths, fully-equipped kitchens with dining areas, play rooms, laundry facilities, a meditation room, exercise room, and informal gathering areas. The House also includes isolated continuing care suites for chemotherapy or post-transplant care. Nearly every night, a home-cooked meal is provided by generous community groups to help ease our guests' stress. Additional free services, such as massages, haircuts, and other stress-relief activities, are offered regularly by kind-hearted donors from the community.

The Columbus Ronald McDonald House is owned and operated by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. Families stay based on hospital referrals, and the House operates thanks to volunteers and donations from the private sector, groups, and individuals. Both monetary donations and in-kind goods and services are crucial for our operations.
